Kraftverk has come out twice a year since 2002, poetry and short prose by unpublished writers living with mental health difficulties. Around 200 texts arrive for each issue and roughly 30 make it in. The one thing it can't look like is a therapy brochure. Each issue takes two spot colours and a theme. Some photos I shoot myself, some are found, all cut out and pushed into that issue's colours. Inside, the colour returns as full-bleed spreads, the title set enormous on one page and the poem small and centred on the other. The poems get room rather than decoration.
