BIT20 are Bergen's contemporary music ensemble. The music is strange, difficult and alive, and the identity they had didn't say any of that. It read as an institution rather than an ensemble, and a concert poster has one job before anything else, which is to make someone walking past look twice. There's no single look here, and that's the point. Each concert gets its own world: a Danish minifestival becomes three red sausages screenprinted across white, a three-course dinner concert becomes a magenta, red and blue triangle set. The type does the heavy lifting, set big enough that the poster works at ten metres and rewards you at one. The same artwork carries down into flyers. Loud is the brief.
